Govt focused on ensuring grassroots development : Minister

 

Reaffirming his commitment for overall Development at grassroot levels, Minister for Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Abdul Rehman Veeri today laid foundation of Tehsil Office Mattan.

The mega-structure would be constructed at a cost of over Rs 2  crore and would be a one stop solution of all revenue related matter for the people of the area.  The mega complex will house Tehsildars Room, Court room, Meeting Room, Patwari Room besides Mohri Mal Room. The Minister had detailed discussion with officials over the DPR  of the Tehsil Office and setup a deadline of ending April 2018 for its completion.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister said that Government is committed to usher a new dawn of development in the state. He also said that infrastructure creation is one of the major component for giving boost to development in the State.

On the digitization of land records, Mr Veeri said that the process is going in full swing in Jammu and Srinagar district and would be started in other areas as well in phased manner.

Mr Veeri assured the people of Mattan that Government has conceived plan for major infrastructure development in different sectors like health, education, tourism and road network to restore the historical glory of the area.

The foundation stone ceremony was attended by District Development Commissioner Anantnag Syed Abid, MD JKPCC Daleep Thusoo ,SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmed Khan and other officers of the district.

Later, Minister distributed cheques worth Rs 56.50 lacs among 450 beneficiaries of district Anantnag registered with the J&K Building and other Construction Workers Board at Dak Bungalow Anantnag.

The Minister asked the workers to come forward and avail the benefits  of different pro- worker schemes of Board. He also impressed on the officers to give wide publicity to the workers welfare schemes of the board.

On the Occasion, Mr Veeri appreciated the workers community and said that these infrastructural Development would not have been possible without their role and support.

He assured workers that Government would bring more schemes which would lend them support in the old-age.

MLA Kokernag Abdul Rahim Rather also spoke on the occasion. ADC Anantnag, ADC Kulgam, Assistant Labour Commissioner Kulgam, Assistant Labour Commissioner Anantnag and other officers were also present on the occasion.
