DDC distributes human aid devices to specially-abled children

The District Development Commissioner, Kupwara today distributed human aid devices arranged by Education department among the 96 registered specially-abled children in the district.

The beneficiaries were enrolled last year after proper scrutiny by the education department. These children belong to Trehgam, Kupwara, Khumriyal, Drugmullah and were provided human aid devices that include wheelchairs, Tricycles, Braille Kits, and other allied devices.

On this occasion the Chief Education Officer, Kupwara, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Education Planning Officer were also present.

Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest impressed upon the authorities of Social Welfare, Health and Education departments to provide all basic amenities to the differently abled children by providing the all possible primary and logical support.

He directed the authorities to seek the help from the Artificial Limbs companies for conduct of physical check up of other such children at tehsil/district level.
