Multiple funeral prayers held for LeT militants in Anantnag 

Multiple funerals were held on Sunday for the slain Lashkar-e-Toiba militants who were killed in a brief gunfight with government forces in Sheikh pora Watergam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district when they were travelling in a vehicle intercepted by forces.

Pro-freedom and pro-militants and anti-India slogans were raised during the funeral of the slain militants.

Two militants and a civilian Naseer Ahmad of Hakura Badasgam Anantnag were killed in a brief encounter which merely lasted for 5 minutes, however army is claiming Naseer a militant as well.

Thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of slain  militants who have reached from  different areas of south Kashmir to take part in the funeral.

Two rounds of funeral prayers were held in Arwani bijbehara so far for slain who is yet to be laid to rest.

Also two rounds of funeral prayers were held in Danewath kokernag for slain militant, who was militants of just 6 months.

Following the death of militants in the area, shutdown is being observed in Anantnag and in parts of other three districts of south Kashmir.
