Shopian police today arrested 4 persons who had carried out an attack on an SPO in Imamsahib on June 11,2017.
On June , 11, 2017 SPO Khursheed Ahmad was critically injured after receiving several bullet injuries.
The attack was allegedly carried out by Nazim Nazir Dar and other HM militants on the directions of HM commanders Saddam Padder and Irfan Abdullah Ganaie, both residents of Heff.
Consequently , a case FIR No 138/2017 u/s 307 RPC, 7/27 Arms act and 16 ULA (P) Act was registered in Police Station Shopian.
The persons who have been arrested include Amir Mohiudin resident of Heff working as RE in JK Bank Chatteregam, Ct. Tawseef Ahmad resident of Chakoora working as driver to MLA Wachi, Basharat Yousuf Mir resident of Litter working as Private teacher and Iftikaar Ahmad alias Jamsheed resident of Awneera .
According to police, they were also planning to carry out more such attacks against policemen and civilians in Shopian which were foiled due to timely action by Shopian Police.
