Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his New Delhi’s residence.
The two leaders discussed the security situation in the conflict-ridden state.
While speaking to the media gathering after attending the meet, CM Mehbooba said, “I thank Home Minister Rajnath Singh and the country for showing unity on the ongoing unrest in Kashmir Valley. We cannot win the fight in Kashmir unless getting complete support from all political parties.”
“Outside forces are involved behind rising violence in Kashmir. The people who are behind the violence in Kashmir wanted to communalize us across the country. Unfortunately, now even China has intervened in the Kashmir matter. I am thankful to our countrymen for showing uniform stand on the Kashmir issue,” she added further.
Pertinently, Kashmir has been witnessing a state of tension and violence since past few months.
On Monday, an attack was carried out by militants on a bus carrying the Amarnath pilgrims. At least seven pilgrims were killed during the attack. The incident occurred between Baltal and Mir Bazar in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
On July 12, three Hizbul Mujahideen militants were killed by security forces near Budgam district in Jammu and Kashmir.
