Pro-India parties have no right to pay tributes to July 13 martyrs: Shabir Shah

Terming July 13, 1931, as the milestone in Kashmir’s freedom struggle, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Monday said the pro-India parties have no association with the mission of the martyrs of this day.

In a statement issued to the press, Shah said the July 13 martyrs didn’t sacrifice their lives for seeking power but for the honour and dignity of their nation.

“The pro-India parties/politicians have no right to pay tributes to July 13, 1931 martyrs,” Shah said.

He also appealed people to visit the Mazar-e-Shuhada (martyrs’ graveyard) to pay tributes to them.
