Ahead of the maiden death anniversary of slain Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani on July 8, District Adminitration Srinagar has issued an order whereby Section 144 CrPc would be imposed in Srinagar tomorrow.

Restrictions would be imposed to prevent protests and rallies.

“Restrictions on movement of public and transport under Sec 144 CrPC to remain in force in all police station areas of District Srinagar tomorrow, July 8,” said the order issued by the District administration.

However, essential services and government employees would be exempted, said the order.

“Restrictions shall also not be applicable to accredited and registered media persons performing their professional duties.”
