Congress today described the passing of GST resolution in the legislative assembly as a black day in the history of Jammu and Kashmir state.

The party also termed the Assembly Session and the meetings held from time to time in order to evolve a consensus on GST by the government as a “mere eye wash” “ even as the passing of GST was already decided between PDP BJP.”

In a core group meeting held today under the chairmanship of state president, G.A. Mir, the party legislators and senior leaders lashed out at the State government for passing the GST resolution in the House without evolving a consensus and expressed serious concern over the way GST Resolution was passed in the House while adopting 101 Amendment directly without taking the view point of opposition into consideration.
