Government working for inclusive development: Minister

The Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli, said  that the government is committed for  holistic development and prosperity of all regions of the State without any discrimination.

The Minister stated this at a public meeting at Kalakote today. He further said that the agenda of government at the Centre is “sab ka sath sab ka vikas” a slogan of Prime Minister which would go a long way in changing the development scenario of every region.

Terming communal harmony as a pre-requisite for development and prosperity, Kohli urged the people to work in unison to strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and contribute their bit towards development of their regions and also for overall development of the nation.

Various issues pertaining to development were raised by the people on the occasion such as drinking water, better road infrastructure, installation of electric transformers etc.

The Minister assured the gathering that all left out pockets of the area would be covered and provided better electricity and drinking water facilities besides other genuine issues will be redressed on priority basis. He issued on spot necessary instructions to the concerned authorities to resolve people’s grievances on priority.

Senior officers for district administration besides officers of animal, sheep husbandry and fisheries accompanied the Minister at the public meeting.

While reviewing the arrangements for annual Buddha Amarnath yatra at Dak Banglow Kalakote, the Minister said that every religion teaches the principle of truth and mutual coexistence and tolerance. He said it is our moral duty to show love and hospitality to Yatries.

Threadbare discussion were held regarding providing foolproof security, temporary wash room facilities, langer facilities from Bamla via Kalakote to Rajouri besides availability of uninterrupted water and power supply at identified places.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Rajouri besides officers from Police, PHE, PDD and a large number of locals and prominent citizens.
