Private Schools Association hails fast track work at DSEK

 

The Private Schools Association of Kashmir (PSAK) Friday hailed the initiation of fast track mode of working in the department of Education by virtue of which 350 pending files of private schools were cleared within a record time.

The Association in a statement said that with the fast working, the education sector is moving into a historic phase. A delegation of PSAK today met the DSEK and wherein they were informed of various education friendly measures taken by the department.

 “It is for the first time that 350 files pertaining to affiliation, extension and upgradation of private schools was cleared in a record time,” said B A Shah PRO PSAK, in a statement, who along with other officials met the DSEK.

 “All of the files were pending for either minor reasons or unknown reasons. But as soon as the new dispensation in the department took office the entire work has been expedited,” statement said.

The Association thanked the Chief Minister for personally taking interest in the welfare and progress of education sector. “It is the efforts of education department led by Hon’ble Minister Altaf Bukhari, Secretary Eductaion Er Farooq Shah and DSEK G N Itoo that the education department has been completely transformed,” said Shah.

The Association said that earlier the education sector was in complete distress as more than 150 private schools were closed during the last two years due to various policies of government which were not friendly to the education sector. “But now the scenario has completely changed and government is committed for equitable development of both private and government education sector,” said Shah.

Statement said that the Association affirmed the commitment that quality of education will be upheld at any cost. They also assured the government that weaker section of society will be taken care in the schools under the social responsibility.
