A pilgrim died after he was hit by a shooting stone in Central Kashmir’s Baltal area in  Ganderbal district, police sources said.

They said that an Amarnath pilgrim died after being hit by a shooting stone on way to holy cave at Baltal base camp on Thursday.

Sources said that 50-year-old Bhushan Kotwal, a resident of Jammu, was seriously injured after being hit by a shooting stone that rolled down from a hillock while he was crossing Brarimarg area on 16-km Baltal-cave route.
