Deputations call on Chief Minister

 

Several deputations and hundreds of individuals today met the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today and apprised her about their difficulties.

A deputation from Homeshalibugh demanded macdamisation of various roads in the area besides upgradation of educational and health institutes. Another deputation led by MLC, Yasir Reshi demanded inclusion of Panzinara village into the Srinagar Master Plan, augmentation of drinking water facilities and setting up of a branch of J&K Bank in the area.

A deputation of office bearers of Kashmir Motor Drivers (KMD)Association demanded a rehabilitation package for the flood affected vehicles and transporters and easing of repayment schedules in respect of their loans.  A deputation of people from Aishmuqam demanded renovation and repairs at the shrine of Hazrat Zain ud Din Wali (R.A.). Another deputation of people from Panjpora also sought up gradation of roads in their area.

A deputation of representatives of Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry demanded inclusion of trading community before taking any view on the implementation of GST.

A deputation of fire sufferers from Sukhnai village of Kishtwar led by MLC, Firdous Tak demanded release of timber in their favour for early construction of their houses. A deputation of women artisans also demanded a financial package in their favour. 

A deputation from Shopian sought development and upgradation of Shah Khul, up gradation of roads and release of Tribal scholarships. Another deputation of Shikara Union sought rehabilitation package in favour of the damaged shikara owners.

Deputation of people from Mir Behree also sought improvement in the road network in the area besides augmentation of health facilities.  A deputation from Chount Waliwar (Lar) demanded augmentation of power distribution, development of local Eidgah and repairs of street lights in the area and at the shrine of Hazrat Syed Baba Badruddin Waliwar (R.A.).

A deputation from Mashali Mohalla, Islamia College, Srinagar demanded construction of a community hall in the nearby vacant land for the facilitation of local people. A deputation of Footpath Union, Srinagar also sought their proper rehabilitation. 

Deputations of people from Langate, Achabal, Sopore, Bishnah, Quil, Pulwama, Hotel Welfare Association, also met the Chief Minister and sought redressal of their grievances.

The Chief Minister listened patiently to the demands put forth and assured the deputations that their genuine demands would be looked into.
