Cordon and search operation has been launched in Sendoo Shirmal area of Shopian district and Wagahama village of Bijbehara town area after receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

As per sources soon after the cordon was launched,  clashes erupted between the people and the government forces at both the places. 

Consequently, scores of youth and a policeman  were injured during  the clashes in Shopian.

Meanwhile, the CASO has ended in Shopian.
