Clashes erupted between government forces and protesters in Reshie Bazar area of Anantnag town, sources said.
According to the sources, soon after Friday prayers, youth pelted stones on forces who retaliated with tear smoke shells, triggering clashes in the area.
Pertinently, Joint Resistance leadership had yesterday given a protest call against the US State Department for announcing Hizb chief, Syed Salahuddin as “a global terrorist”.
