Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta Sunday inspected MLA hostel, Jammu and took stock of the amenities available to the Legislators residing there.

As part of the visit, the Speaker inspected the mess area, kitchen, residence quarters and dispensary among others.

Secretary, J&K Legislative Assembly, M R Singh also accompanied the Speaker during the visit.

The Speaker, reviewing the facilities, directed the concerned for improving the overall standard of amenities at the complex, besides laying utmost stress on maintaining the sanitation levels within and around the complex.

Commenting on the levels of sanitation within the Mess, Kitchen, Dispensary area, the Speaker stressed for ensuring that no slack is allowed in this regard, especially at these areas.

The Speaker also asked concerned to ensure that adequate stock of necessary medicines and first-aid is maintained at the dispensary besides ensuring availability of medics and paramedics. He also asked the medical staff to maintain punctuality and do their duty with dedication.

Further, visiting the grounds of the complex, Speaker asked for undertaking landscaping and beautification efforts to improve the overall ambience of the area.
