Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association (JKTA) headed by P C Sharma and D N Pangotra as General Secretary has disassociated with the recent News published in Daily Excelsior with its Slug as “3rd Gold Cup Taekwondo from July 15” and has informed the general public as well as the Media Fraternity that the news and the said championship has nothing to do with J&K Taekwondo Association—the only body affiliated with Taekwondo Federation of India is authorized to conduct any event in this regard.

“It is for the information of the people and parents of the students that such organization are luring money from the players and organize such events just for money and if a player participate in such events then their certificate has no value as the whole event is not affiliated to J&K taekwondo association,” JKTA statement said.

J&K Taekwondo Association, as per the statement is always promoting players and Taekwondo Game instead of luring money and earning money and has produced Players Like Atul Pangotra, ,Vikrant Joshi , Vikrant Narwalia, Mukta Gupta ,Bazila Mushtaq, Afreen Hyder, Shazia, Shaneez, Asma Gul, Tashi Tundup, Arvind Kumar Satti, Brinder Singh Manhas  Md. Saud Bhatt, Zaheer Abass, Mohammad Ali and many others who have excelled at national as well as International Level and has been recognized by the State Government and J&K Sports Council.
