Two militants have been killed in the Delhi Public School encounter in Pantha Chowk Srinagar, police said.

DGP SP Vaid said that two bodies of the militants are lying in a room inside Delhi Public School building.

The gun-battle had started yesterday evening after militants attacked a CRPF vehicle on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in Pantha Chowk last evening. A CRPF trooper was killed in the attack claimed by Lashkar-e-Toiba.

The militants had then taken shelter in the DPS school building which was then cordoned- off by the government forces.

Meanwhile, combing operations was still on around the area.
