As many as thirteen water supply schemes were damaged due to cloud bursts and heavy rains in Nallah Doodhganga, Halsidar, Hakran and Sandran at Dooru Kapran area of South Kashmir, official sources said.
They said that thirteen PHE schemes got damaged due to which entire water supply system remained affected in the area.
“The entire water supply system got damaged due to cloud burst in various areas,” said a PHE official.
He said that a team of top PHE officials along with PHE Minister Farooq Andrabi are visiting the area to assess the damage.
He added that AEE PHE Subdivision Dooru along with JEs on the directions of Exen has geared up subordinate staff for assessing the damages.
“All employees are on the spot and are realigning the pipes, public need not be panic, we will assess the damage and through alternate sources water will be provided to them,” he added.
