The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Sunday strongly condemned the continuous house detention of its Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who has been prevented to carry out his social and religious activities in the holy month of Ramadan.
“Mirwaiz in connection with Ramadan was supposed to deliver a sermon at Masjid-e-Rehmat Lalbazar, Srinagar where people were eagerly waiting but they had to return disappointed,” the spokesperson said in a statement.
He also denounced the imposition of continuous curfew and harassment of local population in South Kashmir and condemned the killing of a civilian Aijaz Ahmed Malik of Pulwama at the hands of unknown gunmen.
