Taking note of the rising violence in the Valley, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today said that the only way forward to bring normalcy in the Valley is to through continued peace talks.
Addressing a special session of J&K Assembly, CM Mufti referred the casualties suffered by the security forces due to growing unrest in the state. “Our jawans are being killed in Jammu and Kashmir,” said Mufti.
Asserting that no one can get to a peaceful resolution through guns and army, Mufti said that the only way to resolve the unrest is to engage in continued peace talks.
Mufti’s comment comes a day after 14 people including six policemen were killed on Friday in the Valley.
