Intense clashes erupted in Pulwama after forces cordoned off a part of Pahoo, Dogam, and Ratnipora villages in South Kashmir.

Witnesses said that the forces have cordoned off the orchards in the villages after inputs that two militants are hiding there. As per sources two militants are believed to be trapped.

Meanwhile, heavy stone pelting and tear gas shelling has been reported in the area as youth have assembled on the roads.

Witnesses said that announcements are being made on loudspeakers urging people to come out of homes to help the militants escape from the cordon.
