World Environment Day was today observed by Mass Media Division Srinagar Department of Ecology, Environment and Remote Sensing, J&K at Doon International School HMT, Hokarsar.

An impressive inter-school symposium was organized on the theme “Connecting people to nature” in which students from various schools of Srinagar and other districts participated.

The experts and school children threw light on the topic and underscored the need for maintaining pollution free atmosphere.

Awards were distributed among participating students along with the stationery items.

Later, the cultural programme was also presented by the students.
