Jammu boy selected for Indian Junior Hockey

19 years old boy, Ramandeep Singh of J&K has been selected for Indian Junior hockey camp.

Hailing from Simbal Camp area of Jammu, he has been selected considering his performance in recently held National Championship at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh in May this year.

The camp is scheduled to be held at SAI Centre Bangaluru under the guidance of international coach, Arjuna Halappa.

In a Statement Gurdeep Singh, General Secretary Hockey, J&K said that “we hope Ramadeep will prove himself and will emerge shining with his hard work. We hope that one day he will be the part of Indian hockey team.”

Further in his statement he mentioned, while praising President, International Hockey Federation, Narinder Batra, he said that “under his guidance and encouragement we hope that Hockey will be developed all over the world as well as India too.

Meanwhile, Hockey Jammu and Kashmir has welcomed the decision of Hockey India in providing a chance to Ramandeep where he can demonstrate his skills, and the potential he has got alongside top performers of the country
