Spiritual leader Dalai Lama is scheduled to visit the Ladakh region later this month, Minister for Ladakh Affairs and Cooperatives, Chering Dorjay, today said.
The Minister said arrangements for his visit have been entrusted to Ladakh Affairs Department and added that no stone will be left unturned for ensuring his smooth one-and-a-half month visit beginning June 28.
Dorjay said that people of the region are eagerly waiting for his visit as his holiness is the ocean of spirituality. He said that Dalai Lama during his visit will address gatherings at various places and share his views, experiences with the people, especially students who are the future of the nation and will help them in resolving their commotion and confusion for the welfare of the humanity.
It was given out that Dalai Lama shall arrive in Leh on 28th June and proceed to Shewatsal Phodrang where a traditional welcome ceremony will be accomplished. He is also scheduled to visit Nubra, Zanskar besides other places in Ladakh and will be accompanied by translator, religious assistants and others.
