People along LOC deprived of rations, alleges NC

Ex-MLA and provincial president Youth National Conference Mr Ajaz Jan today said that areas along Line of Control are facing acute shortage of food grains as CAPD outlets often remain empty.

“People have to travel five kilometers for getting their rations, which remains seldom available at the sale-outlets”, Jan said in a statement. He said that people are already facing major problems due tob heightened tension alongside LOC and said that administration should be focused on these areas.

He accused the PDP-BJP government of deliberately ignoring these areas and said that the unavailablty of ration has created chaotic situation. “This is going to add to their miseries during the holy month of Ramadan, as other utility services are already in a bad shape,” he said.

“At a time the coalition government has abdicated its responsibilities towards the people, the administration too cannot afford to remain callous”, Mr Jan said, hoping that focused attention would be paid in ensuring regulated power and water supply, at least during the month of Ramadan.

The NC leader urged the administration to look into the complaints of scarce availability of rations.
