Suspected gunmen on Wednesday night shot at and injured a ruling party leader in posh Barzulla area, police sources said.
They said that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Qayoom who lives here was fired at by gunmen late evening.
The incident left the leader injured following which he has been shifted to SMHS hospital in a critical condition, sources added.
Hospital sources said that the leader is being operated upon at the hospital.
“He has been hit by three bullets,” they said.
