Director Agriculture Kashmir, Altaf Ajaz Andrabi Monday ordered administrative action against the 32 officials including five officers who were found absent from their duties.
Andrabi made a surprise visit to the various offices in the complex of Chief Agriculture Officer, Srinagar and checked the attendance of the employees during which 32 employees including five officers were found absent from their legitimate duties.
The surprise visits are aimed to improve the work culture and punctuality in sub-ordinate offices.
Director on spot ordered an administrative action against the absentees as per J&K Civil Services Rules.
Pertinently, Director Agri Kashmir has passed several instructions through various circulars to strictly adhere to office timings and advocated for improving their work culture.
The statement issued here said that it has been observed that due seriousness is not being accorded by the controlling officers to these circular instructions, for taking immediate and appropriate action against the officers or officials staying away from their legitimate duties without prior permission.
