Yasin Malik remembers MirwaizFarooq and Gani Lone on their death anniversary

On the death anniversary of Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone, JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik today paid tributes to the two leaders of the valley.

“Our freedom struggle is adorned with the blood of martyrs and therefore no power on earth can defeat it by oppression and other measures”. Malik said in a statement.

“Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone strived for a holy cause and sacrificed their lives for the same”.

Recalling the efforts and sacrifices of Khawja Abdul Gani Lone JKLF chairman said that he was one of the preeminent politicians, intellectual and a humble human being who fought for the cause of freedom, tolerated all hardships, sufferings and miseries but never compromised on his principles .

 “Shaheed Lone Sahib rejected power and position and joined the freedom struggle and never looked back. His departure from this worldly life was a personal loss as I learned a lot of things from him”. He added.

JKLF chairman said that JKLF will never overlook the sacrifices rendered by the Abdul Gani Lone for the freedom struggle.

While remembering the struggle and sacrifices of Mirwaiz Mohammad Farooq, JKLF Chairman said that slain Mirwaiz belonged to a family that has always inspired many Kashmiris.

“His family led this nation in the fields of politics, education, religion and many other fields”, said Malik.

“JKLF chairman said that Mirwaiz Farooq himself endured hardships of jails, torture and oppression in the way of freedom but never surrendered before tyranny and oppression. He never shied away from resistance and sacrifices and stood firm at the times of hardships and finally sacrificed his life in the way of truth and freedom”, He said.

He said that the main message of both these great martyrs was unity and today when our freedom struggle is at a crucial stage we all need to strengthen our unity and resist the might of Indian with unity and oneness.

Meanwhile JKLF chairman strongly condemned the arrest of JKLF district president Kulgam Abdul Sattar and Secretary Nazir Ahmad who were arrested yesterday and have been shifted to Islamabad jail.

Terming their arrest as undemocratic and a case of harassing peaceful political activists, JKLF chairman said that rulers and their authorities are pushing people to the wall by these kinds of measures which are highly condemnable.
