Five injured in road mishaps

Five persons were injured in different road mishaps across Kashmir Valley, a police spokesman said.

He said that a Maruti car bearing registration number JK01C-2994 hit and injured a minor girl identified as Muntaha resident of Punzwa at Vilgam. The injured was shifted to Vilgam Hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.

In Budgam, a Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK04A-2569 hit and injured a pedestrian identified as Abdul Rashid Khan resident of Gundipora at Gundipora in the jurisdiction of Police Station Beerwah. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.

In Bandipora, a motorcycle driven by Ishtiyaq Ahmad Wani resident of Baharabad hit a pedestrian at Khomine Baharabad Hajin, resulting in injuries to the pedestrian and the motorcyclist. Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.

In another accident, an unknown vehicle hit and injured a woman identified as Fatima resident of Shilwat at Shilwat Sumbal. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
