Snowfall on Saturday surprised everybody in Pahalgam area of south Kashmir amid continuous rainfall in the plains of Kashmir valley.

Officials said that two inches of snow accumulated in Pahalgam areas since morning. As per reports mild snowfall was also witnessed in many high altitudes of the valley.

While as rains have lashed the valley since early today resulting in the decrease in temperatures.

According to the weather officials the weather in Kashmir will remain wet till 8^th of May. Light rain and thundershowers will continue in many places across the valley.

However the weather will improve by 9^th of May, according to the MeT officials.

Police officials from traffic control room said that one-way traffic is plying from Jammu to Srinagar will continue till Monday, the decision was taken due to the Darbar Move convoy.
