Take action against cow vigilantes or face consequences: Er Rasheed

AIP leader and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has asked for a stern action against those elements, who attacked a nomad family in Reasi.

Reacting sharply to the Reasi incident, Er Rasheed said, “The so-called gau rakshaks are inhuman and are earning a bad name.

This is a form of terrorism. It is ironic that in the name of protecting cows these gau rakshaks are killing human beings. They didn’t even spare a nine-year-old girl in Talvara. Doesn’t lakhs of cows die every year and leather goods are manufactured from their skin?”

“If cow slaughtering is being banned, then why does BJP not dare to do so in Goa, Assam, Manipur and other northeast states.”

“People in Jammu and Kashmir do not need anyone’s permission to eat what they wish. The gau rakshaks are no better than criminals. They cannot always run away by getting shelter from administration. It is painful to see that Jammu and Kashmir Police has given these criminals a complete free hand. SSP Reasi is busy in downplaying the incident,” he added.

Er Rasheed asked the state government to either protect the rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir or be ready to face the consequences.
