Students complain of faulty setup at CUS

Students from all over the Valley who have applied for various courses in Cluster University of Srinagar (CUS) Thursday complained that they are unable to download their roll number slips whereas the varsity is all set to conduct its admission entrance test on Saturday.

“We are not able to download our roll number slips as our entrance test is going to be held on Saturday,” a delegation of students told ‘Kashmir Vision’.

“We don’t know whether it is the technical fault or something else, but we have failed to download our roll slips,” they said.

Arooza Manzoor, a student from South Kashmir’s Bijbhera area said that she had applied for the 5 years integrated course in PG English but is unable to download her roll number slip.

“We contacted the officials of the cluster university Srinagar in this regard but instead of providing us the roll number slips they threatened me without any fault of mine and asked me that they will not provide the roll number slip,” she said.

“I failed to understand that what is my mistake is it wrong to ask for your rights,” she questioned.

The students have also appealed the Vice-Chancellor Cluster University Srinagar to look into the matter.

The Cluster University of Srinagar (CUS), which is the amalgam of five-degree colleges in the Valley, has offered various undergraduate, postgraduate and integrated programmes for its first academic session of year 2017.

An official of the Cluster University of Srinagar (CUS) blamed the students for the mess.

“During the process of filing the admission forms, we kept informing the students by sending them SMS’s asking them to keep checking details and incase of any problem they were told to get in touch with the CUS,” he said.

“And now the problem has grown because there would be mistakes in the details provided by the students,” the official added.
