Students continue to protest in Valley, one injured

Protests continue to rock many places across Kashmir Valley following the crackdown on students of Degree College Pulwama last week.

According to the reports, a woman was injured in Kaloosa Bandipora when she was hit by a stone on her head during the clashes between students and forces in the town. Sources said that students held a protest demonstration against the forces at Nadim Memorial Higher Secondary School in Kaloosa against the crackdown of forces on students in Pulwama.

Clashes erupted when forces tried to enter the school premises in Bandipora, injuring one woman. The woman was taken to hospital and her condition is said to be stable.

Similarly, in South Kashmir students of Government Higher Secondary school Hariganiwan in Kangan held a similar protest against the forces crackdown. Later the students dispersed peacefully. 

Meanwhile classes in colleges across Kashmir remain suspended as a precautionary measure for the third concesetive day in t hewake of students protest.

Following the orders by divisional commissioner of Kashmir, class work will remain suspended up to April 21.
