Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle at Sonwar area in outskirt’s of Srinagar city late Tuesday evening.
Constable Rakesh Kumar (belt no. 110040933) of 79 bn posted at Sonwar camp, shot himself with his service rifle, a local news agency, GNS, said quoting official sources.
“After hearing gunshot his colleague rushed to him where he was found lying in pool of blood,” they said.
The trooper, a resident of Bihar was immediately shifted to nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
