GANDERBAL: A team of district officers conducted surprise inspection of various markets of Lar tehsil here in connection with anti-polythene drive and to curb profiteering, uauthorised hoardings and adulteration on Thursday.
The team led by tehsildar Lar, Nazir Ahmad seized polythene which was destroyed on the spot.
The team also destroyed sub standard food items and realized Rs 39,000 as fine from erring traders.
