Srinagar: The one-man Commission probing the killings of four youth by CRPF personnel in September last year in south Kashmir’s Shopian district has adjourned its proceedings till April 3.
Justice (retired) ML Koul, who heads the Commission, said that CRPF had brought one witness but due to absence of the petitioners who could have cross-examined him his statement was not recorded.
He said that neither FSL nor the mobile phones which have been sent for expert opinion to Chandigarh have been received till date while the civil administration has sought 15 days time to produce the FSL report and the details about mobile sets.
“I have been following the procedures meticulously and have directed the petitioners to be present on the next date. I have also directed the CRPF and police to produce the details about the slain youth before the Commission,” Justice Koul told a local news agency.
