Kashmiri artisans take part in Chennai ‘International Handwoven Fair’

SRINAGAR: A number of handicrafts traders and exporters from the Valley participated in ‘4th India International Handwoven Fair’ held at south Indian city of Chennai from March 12 to 14, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) said here on Saturday.
The fair was being organized by Handloom Export Promotion Council, Ministry of Textiles, government of India.
The event was personally supervised by KCCI Vice President, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, a statement issued by the apex traders’ body said.
It said KCCI  is committed to ensure exposition of Kashmir Handicraft all the way possible to help grow and contribute to the prosperity of handicraft artisans as also the related manufacturers, traders and exporters. The KCCI is regularly on watch out to ensure participation of Kashmir handicraft manufacturers, traders and exporters in national and international level handicraft fairs and exhibitions.
