94 self-employment cases under PMEGP recommended in Bandipora

BANDIPORA: As many as 94 cases under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) have been recommended with a cost of Rs 7.41 crore by the District Industries Centre, Bandipora during current financial year, an official spokesperson said on Wednesday.
He said, these cases involve margin money of Rs 2.59 crore. So far 12 units stand set up under the programme, providing Rs. 46 lakh to the unit holders.
This was stated during an awareness camp organized by District Industries Centre at Town Hall Bandipora. The participants on the occasion were sensitized about the features of various schemes of the department.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, NA Baba on the occasion asked the youth to avail benefits from government sponsored schemes, enabling themselves to combat future challenges.
Among others, General Manager District Industries Centre, Nazir Ahmad, Lead Bank Manager Bandipora, District President Gandhi Global Family and unit holders were also present.
