JAMMU: A delegation of Jammu Chamber of Commerce headed by President YV Sharma and President Industrial Association Gangyal Balbir Gupta called on Financial Commissioner Industries and Commerce Khurshid A Ganai here on Monday, according to an official spokesperson.
The Delegation put forth various issues of the entrepreneurs including clearances, pollution guidelines, sales tax, VAT reimbursement and transport subsidy, the spokesperson said.
After hearing the issues raised by the delegation, Ganai said that the government in order to facilitate the growth of industries in the state has come up with various developmental initiatives. He emphasized the importance of synergy between the department and unit holders and said that the department will ensure hand holding of the entrepreneurs for the growth of industrial sector in the state.
Ganai, according the spokesperson, assured the delegation that the department will put in all efforts to address the genuine demands of the entrepreneurs and directed the concerned officers to streamline the process to provide enhanced hassle free interfaces to the stakeholders.
Sharma said that initiatives of the government for promoting industrial sector in the state through various incentives and subsidies have helped the industrial growth and increasing the employment opportunities for the youth.
