KCCI hails government, legislators for passing Bill

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry has hailed government and legislator for passing the Civic Laws (Special Provision) Bill, which puts moratorium of one year on sealing and demolition of illegal constructions.
“KCCI hails the government and legislators for taking such a positive approach which is aimed at giving a chance to the business people concerned to rectify the wrong and save large number of people who have been earning their living through the identified shopping complexes and hotels,” Sheikh Ashiq Ahmad, president of KCCI said in a statement issued to press.
“The State Legislators’ positive approach to see logic in allowing to the extend the dead line for the functioning of hotels and other business houses in Srinagar, Jammu and Kattra cities for one more year is commendable.”
The KCCI also expresses hope that the issue will be resolved in due course in a manner that both the environment of the state and the livelihood of the people involved in the business is protected, he added.
