Employees can’t be anti-establishment: JKJCC

Srinagar: Hailing Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s recent “employees- friendly” statement in the Legislative Assembly, Convener Jammu and Kashmir Joint Consultative Committee (JKJCC)  and President Civil Secretariat Non Gazetted Employees Union Rauf Ahmad Saturday said that no “politically-motivated person shall be allowed to derail the genuine struggle of employees.”
“ JCC, an umbrella organization of  trade union outfits of the state through logic- based arguments  has succeeded in breaking the ice regarding the employees demand for enhancement  of retirement age from  58 to 60 years,” according to a statement.
JCC’s efforts in this regard are “likely to yield results and a positive decision is expected soon,” the statement said.
“The lines are clear. Employees being part of the establishment cannot be anti- establishment on whatsoever account.  There are problems, there will be problems but the resolution of all issues can only be reached by negotiations and by denouncing the path of confrontation on small matters,” the statement said.
Bhat appealed employees in general and employees leaders in particular to “join hands with JKJCC.”
