Jammu: Kashmir University has been allotted 17 hectares of forest land for its campus at Wuyan in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, the government said Friday.
Replying to a question by Advocate Abdul Haq Khan, Minister for Higher Education, Mohammad Akbar Lone, informed the Legislative Assembly that said under Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Plan Rs. 19.5 crore have also been released for infrastructure building of the campus adding that tenders for construction of academic block have been already tendered.
The academic session at the campus Kupwara would commenced from July-August this year.
