PAMPORE: A young woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Namblabal Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday afternoon.
The woman, a non from Kolkata was married in Pampore few years back.
According to locals, the woman was found dead in her room.
She was immediately rushed to sub district hospital Pampore where doctors declared her brought dead.
On getting information police team from police station Pampore, led by SHO started an investigation into the incident.
SHO Pampore Mohammad Younis Khan told Kashmir Reader that a young woman (name withheld) was found dead in suspicious circumstances at Namblabal Pampore.
He said that the proceedings were registered under Section 174 CrPC and the woman’s body was handed over to her family after post-mortem for last rites.
