Baramulla: Army on Friday claimed to have recovered arms and ammunition along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara of north Kashmir.
In a statement, the army said that around 3 am Friday suspicious movement of unidentified persons was detected 600 meters on this side of LoC at Machhil village of Kupwara and the infiltrated militants were intercepted by the army posted in the area.
They said after the first light, searches were carried out by the army and some blood trails were seen. “Three AK-47 rifles, a sniper rifle, 8 grenades and other war-like stores were recovered. And the search is in progress,” an army spokesperson said.
The area is very far from civilian areas and the army is the only source of information.
