Srinagar: The J&K High Court has stayed the selection list of 18 medical doctors for district Kupwara under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).
A bench of Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar stayed the selection list after its attention was drawn to a communication by Assistant director (ISM) Kupwara to director (ISM) J&K, stating that District Health Society Kupwara did not consider his opinion as expert and issued the list without his signature.
Besides taking the communication dated November 30 last on record, the court issued notice to Health Department as well as the selected candidates to file objections to the petition.
The DDC Kupwara, who is also chairman District Health Society Kupwara, had issued a provisional selection list of 18 candidates on contractual basis against the post of medical officer under AYUSH of NRHM scheme in the frontier district
