SRINAGAR: District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Shah along with a team of officers conducted marketing checking in the city and recovered one quintal of polythene and destroyed the same on the spot.
The District Development Commissioner also asked the officers to intensify the campaign for removal of illegal encroachments on footpaths and roads to ensure free movement of traffic and pedestrians, an official spokesman said.
