Jammu: Governor NN Vohra on Monday approved the PDP’s proposal of terminating Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu from the council of ministers.
Drabu, was sacked by his PDP over his controversial remarks that ‘Kashmir was not a political but a social issue’.
Authoritative sources in the Raj Bhavan said that the Governor has approved government’s decision of dropping Drabu from the council of ministers with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, opposition leader Omar Abdullah also tweeted about Drabu’s exit from the ministry.
“His PHD-CCI speech cost him dearly. Will be interesting to see who replaces him in the Finance Ministry,” tweeted Omar Abdullah.
