Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Monday registered a case related to the escape of Lashka-e-Taiba militant Naveed Jhutt from custody.
NIA has registered a case RC No 05/2018 related to the escapade of LeT’s Naveed from SMHS hospital in Srinagar where he was brought on 6th February for treatment.
In this regard a case FIR number 08/2018 was registered by the local Police at Karan Nagar in Srinagar district.
Pertinently, two police personnel including a Head Constable Mushtaq Ahmed and Constable Babar Ahmed were killed in the shootout.
NIA team is proceeding to Srinagar tomorrow to take up the investigation of the case.
