‘Many secrets will soon come out’
NEW DELHI: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Sunday accused the Opposition of trying to create unrest in the country with the help of foreign funding and financial support. He alleged that a larger conspiracy was behind the recent controversy involving students and claimed that more details would be revealed in the coming days.
Speaking to IANS, Singh said his concern was not about political victory or defeat but about the future of the country and its young people. He alleged that a person based in America was connected to the matter and claimed that several hidden facts would soon come to light.
According to him, investigations would reveal who arranged the money, where the funds were sent, and what activities were taking place at Jantar Mantar. He further alleged that money was used to create instability and disturb peace in the country.
However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) has dismissed the allegations, stating that it has no such information.
“I have no information to share on this issue with you,” MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said during a press briefing on Friday.
Giriraj Singh praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the government acted quickly to protect the interests of students during the crisis.
He said the Prime Minister showed foresight by ensuring that the academic future of students was not affected. According to Singh, examinations for nearly 22 lakh students were completed within a month. He added that the results were announced on time and the admission process also started without major delays.
The Union Minister said that while some political leaders were travelling abroad, Prime Minister Modi remained focused on solving issues related to students and safeguarding their future.
Singh also appreciated former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for implementing the National Education Policy (NEP).
He said Pradhan’s work on the education reforms would be remembered for generations and described the policy as an important contribution to the country’s education system.
