BANDIPORA: Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi, on Saturday organised a Gramalok programme at Aragam village in Bandipora district to commemorate the life and contribution of renowned Sufi saint Lala Sahab Aragami.
President of Adabi Markaz Kamraz, Mohammad Amin Bhat, was the chief guest on the occasion. Among those present were Shakir Shafi, Majeed Majazi, Habibullah Aragami, Mohammad Tariq, Mir Bashir Ahmad, Arsalan Habib, Sagar Sarafraz, Sagar Manzoor and several other poets and literary enthusiasts.
Speakers on the occasion highlighted the spiritual teachings and literary legacy of Lala Sahab Aragami, describing him as one of the prominent Sufi figures of Kashmir whose message of peace, tolerance and human values continues to inspire society.
They also emphasised the need to preserve and promote the rich Sufi and literary heritage of Kashmir for future generations.
